Customise and build your own illuminated, working magic wand in this small-group, COVID-safe theatrical experience in our venue in Soho, London.

How it works

1. Book an eTicket online or in-person at our ticketing desk. You can also purchase paper tickets for that extra special experience.

2. When you check-in you will select your magic wand style which corresponds with the colour scheme of your magic wand.

3. At the time of your booking ascend the attic to the Wandmaker’s Workshop, where your class will begin under the tutelage of our master Wandmaker.

4. Once in the workshop you will begin assembling your wand—specific components will be provided based on your pre-selected magic wand style.

5. You will be provided with customisation options, such as magic wand wood, magical core, wand handle, and wand shaft

6. Finally, the Wandmaker will guide you through using your wand through initial spellcasting in preparation for advanced magic!

COVID & Safety

The Magic Wand Experience has been designed during the time of COVID and with specific attention for health and safety. This is a small-group class where each wand-making station is enclosed on three sides by clear acrylic. All guests to the Magic Wand Experience will have their temperature taken upon arrival and may be required to wear a face mask for their duration of the Experience for the safety of other guests and our staff.

Know before you go

• Checking In: Guests should check-in at least 15 minutes prior to their class start time. Please do so at the ticketing desk on our ground floor Sweet Shop & Ice Cream Parlour. Each person in your party must be present upon check-in and admission to The Magic Wand Experience. Late arrivals may not be accommodated.

• Space, Lighting and Sound: This experience takes place in an enclosed space with flashing and low lighting levels, wind, smoke, and (at times) loud sounds.

• Location: Our venue is at The Wandmaker’s Workshop, The Attic, 26 Greek Street, Soho, W1D 5DE, Soho, London, UK

Important Details

• Cost: £34.99 per ticket (includes 1 completed magic wand per maker per experience)

• Maker/Guest: One ticket will allow one maker and one guest. At least one of these people must be aged 12 or above. The guest of the maker may not build a magic wand when accompanying the maker

• Ages: Both guests and makers must be aged 8 or above as the Magic Wand Experience contains small parts that could pose a choking hazard to infants and toddlers

• Length: Your Magic Wand Experience will last approximately 30 minutes

• Payment: Payment will be in advance through our website or on-site at our ground floor ticketing desk 

• Rescheduling: To reschedule your booking you must contact us no less than 48 hours in advance of your booking. Unfortunately we cannot reschedule bookings with fewer than 48 hours notice. Rescheduling is subject to date and time availability. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more details.

• Ticket Refunds: Tickets are non-refundable but are transferrable to another person. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more details.

• Wand Refunds: Custom magic wands are non-refundable. Wands are delicate objects and may break if mistreated, dropped, or whacked aggressively.

• Unused components: Upon wand completion, any unused parts will be collected by the Wandmaker and returned to their inventory. These are not included with your magic wand package.

• Disabled access: The Wizard Exploratorium is a converted townshouse that is several hundred years old and unfortunately there is no disabled access. We hope to be able to change this in future.
